Transit Advertising
Advertising that moves them!
 Advertising on the exterior of MITS buses allows you to reach pedestrians and motorists everywhere the buses go. Perforated vinyl signs are placed directly on the windows of the bus for highly visible, super-sized impact without blocking the view from inside the bus. Space is available on both curb and street sides. Prices includes display of ad on plasma information screen in MITS Station.

Size of sign: 150" wide x 38" tall on most buses; 133" side x 41' tall on some buses. Price is for one side of a bus. Price does not include cost of poster production. Signs are printed on perforated window film. Because film is applied directly to the window, signs cannot be reused upon removal from the bus. Available on silver buses only.

Agency Commission
Rates shown are gross rates. MITS pays a 15% commission to advertising agencies who place ads for their clients. The commission is made in the form of a billing discount (net rate) to the agency.
Sign Production
Advertiser may furnish necessary poster materials (specifications available upon request) or MITS will provide production of poster materials and charge the Advertiser separately.
MITS requires prior approval of all ad copy and specifically excludes several types of advertising, including advertising from nonprofit organizations. Contact MITS for more information about the complete advertising acceptance policy.
Market Information
MITS serves the City of Muncie, including Ball State University campus, with a population of 65,287. Annual ridership on MITS buses is nearly 2 million. Sixteen buses are available for exterior advertising (the silver ones) and 30 buses have interior poster space. Buses are on the streets all over Muncie weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
